The audience which is you who are reading. Though we may never have met, we may share with empathy a humanness.

We read, so very many different versions of prose. Very few times will you come across a style, a depiction that is deliberate and concise to be an inclusion of both the writer and the reader with out removing any space from the issue.

I strain with my mind as an attempt to achieve such a resonance. Abstract writing is one of two things. To be completely removed and not personal or to be an invitation to embellish and revel in the humanity of the author by leaving all the blanks open for the reader to fill in with their person hood and truly empathize the author.

If you are quick in judgement my writing will leave you wondering why I do not fill in the blanks with my human touch. This means you are searching for the entertainment but not the empathy that the courage of risking vulnerability brings forth.

When I come across such a literary work, I attest to seeing the resulting invitation by leaving a comment that says, yes I see your vision, have lived your experience quite similar, though we have never met, I now feel in some sense that I know of you.

Why abstract writing? Because I wish to engage by understanding that I am revealing my humanness and wish for you to fill in the blanks with your humanness. Only through abstract writing can this be achieved. The experience or subjects I write about are not about me, they are about us.

So in conclusion and never the end. When you read what I write, see beyond the words to how, the why, the what is the objective perhaps of the person who wrote. Put effort into sharing the space with out taking any away, only then can true empathy be achieved.

Till next time, tips hat
